Kaluakoi was dominant winning at Doomben last start and looks ready to measure up again. The wide draw is a query, but he has enough early speed to work across and put himself into the race. He is rock-hard fit and brings the right form profile.

Race 3 – Moreton Hire Lightning Handicap (1000m)
Flying Destiny is in outstanding form and comes here chasing five wins in a row. The rise in weight makes things tougher, but he maps well and keeps finding ways to win. In a sharp Listed sprint, he still looks a solid betting tip.

Race 4 – The Show A Heart (1500m)
Shintono has made a strong start to her career and looks suited rising to 1500m at Eagle Farm. She should land in a good spot from barrier two and gets every chance to prove herself at Listed level. This looks a suitable race for her to go close.

Race 5 – XXXX Queensland Day Stakes (1200m)
Sequista should improve second-up after working home fairly at Scone. Her previous preparation included strong metro form, and the good draw gives her a chance to settle closer. At double-figure odds, she looks a genuine value play.

Race 6 – Magic Millions National Classic (1600m)
Hyperbolic was very good at Doomben last start and looks ready to peak. The blinkers come off, she is racing in strong form, and the mile at Eagle Farm should suit. This is a deep fillies and mares race, but she looks over the odds.

Race 7 – Sky Racing Spear Chief Handicap (1500m)
Harry’s Yacht has been excellent this campaign and was narrowly beaten at Doomben last start. He draws well, should get an economical run and has the late strength to be dangerous at 1500m. At the current odds, he looks the value in the race.

Chispa had excuses last start and can bounce back strongly in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks. The wide draw is not ideal, but she has the class and staying profile to finish hard over 2200m. In an open Oaks, she looks a major winning chance.
