Dolphins vs Bulldogs
The Dolphins look ready to keep rolling after a dominant second-half performance against Melbourne, while the Bulldogs continue to struggle for points and consistency. The return of Kalyn Ponga has completely changed Newcastle’s attack and the Knights suddenly look dangerous again after piling on points last week. The Dragons continue to battle for consistency and still look vulnerable defensively. If Newcastle starts fast, they can put this game away early.

This shapes as one of the toughest games of the round, but Cronulla look like the value side after rediscovering confidence in attack last week. A genuine blockbuster at 4 Pines Park with both sides capable of scoring quickly. Manly were outstanding in a narrow loss to Penrith and their home-ground advantage could prove crucial. The Broncos remain dangerous, but the Sea Eagles’ forward pack and attacking confidence give them a slight edge.

Storm vs Tigers
Melbourne are desperate to snap their losing streak and this looks like the perfect opportunity to respond at AAMI Park. The Storm showed patches of improvement against the Dolphins and with Munster and Hughes steering the side, they should finally produce an 80-minute performance. The Tigers are capable, but consistency remains an issue.

Canberra continue to compete hard every week and they showed plenty of resilience again last round. Penrith are still the benchmark of the competition, but they haven’t completely blown teams away recently. Back at home, the Raiders can keep this closer than many expect.
