Frequently asked questions
Are Best Betting Tips racing and sport tips free?
Yes. Every tip we publish is completely free to read, every day, with no subscription, paywall or sign-up required. We may earn a commission if you sign up with one of our bookmaker partners, at no extra cost to you, but that never changes which selections we back.
Do you guarantee that a tip will win?
No. Our tips are opinions based on form, ratings and market analysis, not guarantees. Betting always carries risk, and we're upfront about the danger(s) in every tip rather than overselling a pick. Please gamble responsibly.
How are your tips selected and rated?
Each tip is written by one of our tipsters after weighing up form, conditions, market moves and (for sport) matchups, aiming for genuine value rather than just picking the favourite. See our full methodology on the how we rate tips page.
What is a Same Game Multi (SGM), and why do your sport tips include one?
A Same Game Multi combines several bets from the one match (for example a team to win, a total-points line, and a player prop) into a single multi bet. Alongside our Best Bet, we now include a same game multi with at least three legs on AFL, NRL, NBL, NFL and other sport tips, so you can see both a single confident pick and a higher-risk, higher-reward combination for the same game.
What bookmakers do you compare odds from?
We currently list offers from BetFocus and TeamBet, both licensed Australian corporate bookmakers, on our betting sites page. The best odds shown in a tip are whichever price we found at the time of writing, and prices can move before you place a bet.
How often do you publish new tips?
New tips are published most mornings, covering that day's racing (and greyhounds) plus whichever major sports have games or matches on, such as AFL, NRL, NBL, NFL and soccer.
Which sports and racing codes do you cover?
We cover horse racing, greyhounds, AFL, NRL, Soccer, NBA, NFL, NBL, MLB, UFC, Golf, Tennis, and other sports as they come up.
Who writes the tips?
Our tips are written by two experienced tipsters who currently work inside the Australian wagering industry and publish under pen names to protect their day jobs. You can read more about them on our about page.
