Geraldton races on Sunday evening, our time, with seven races on a Good 4. Most of the field has raced here recently, so track form matters a lot. Prices had not been published for most races when we wrote these tips, so check the market before you bet. Race times below are AEDT.

In Situ in Race 6 is our best bet of the day. Just Petty Cash in Race 3 and Cantilever in Race 7 are also strong. Apprentices Sharni Webster and Tara Atherden have big weight claims on several runners, which could make a difference.

Race 1 - RTG70+ Handicap (1200m, 5:20pm)

Selection: Onemoretwomany

Onemoretwomany was beaten less than a length first-up at Geraldton and should improve second-up. Oracle Son won fresh at this track last start and is hard to split from our top pick. Gold Keeper comes from a good stable and can run a place.

Selections:

  1. Onemoretwomany
  2. Oracle Son
  3. Gold Keeper
  4. Prince Ragnar

Race 2 - Maiden (1200m, 5:50pm)

Selection: Beston Street

Beston Street placed as favourite here last start and was third, beaten two lengths, at this track before that. His form is the most consistent in the race. Il Bello Beals was only just beaten first-up and draws well. Raylana was narrowly beaten at Mingenew but carries more weight.

Selections:

  1. Beston Street
  2. Il Bello Beals
  3. Raylana
  4. Alot Of Desire

Race 3 - Maiden (1400m, 6:20pm)

Selection: Just Petty Cash

Just Petty Cash has won a trial since his third at Northam on a heavy track and should find a good spot from barrier 2. He looks the clear one to beat. Black Irish was only just beaten here last start. Pretey Royal resumes from a spell after a close run at Ascot and could be a surprise.

Selections:

  1. Just Petty Cash
  2. Black Irish
  3. Pretey Royal
  4. Diamas

Race 4 - Class 2 Handicap (1400m, 6:51pm)

Selection: Aldezor

Aldezor won first-up at Geraldton over this trip last start and should go forward from barrier 2. Truly Gallant ran midfield fresh, but he improves when he steps up in trip. Le Troy was third here last start and is a place chance.

Selections:

  1. Aldezor
  2. Truly Gallant
  3. Le Troy
  4. Cosmic Eclipse

Race 5 - Class 2 Handicap (1100m, 7:21pm)

Selection: Encosta De Money

Encosta De Money has won his last two at Geraldton, including first-up last start, and Sharni Webster’s claim helps. Silver Livia returns after more than a year off, but she was second at Northam before the spell and has trialled. Versaille resumes after a placing in a trial.

Selections:

  1. Encosta De Money
  2. Silver Livia
  3. Versaille
  4. Weaponize

Race 6 - Ladies Day Sprint (1200m, 7:54pm)

Selection: In Situ

In Situ is our best bet of the day. He has won four times at Geraldton, won first-up here last start and has the speed to overcome a wide draw. Leonardo Da Grey was second here at his last second-up run and should be strong late. Simply Rosso draws barrier 1 with a good apprentice claim.

Selections:

  1. In Situ
  2. Leonardo Da Grey
  3. Simply Rosso
  4. Catch Carter

Race 7 - RTG58+ Handicap (1400m, 8:30pm)

Selection: Cantilever

Cantilever placed first-up here and was second at this track the last time she raced second-up. She should be on or near the speed. Dutch Por also improves second-up and placed here in that spot last time. Lacevinsky gets weight relief from Tara Atherden’s claim.

Selections:

  1. Cantilever
  2. Dutch Por
  3. Lacevinsky
  4. Shoot To Fame
