Oohlalouvre in Race 4 is our strongest bet of the night. Buttercup in Race 1 is the next best.

Golden Smile finished second here last time, gets a weight drop and is a good each-way price. Meltdown has won more than once at this track.

Stevie’s Spirit drops out of metro races after running poorly at Eagle Farm, and he has the speed to overcome a wide draw. Pretty Pretty Good makes her debut for a strong stable and should not be ignored. Poetic Belle ran third here on debut and should improve.

Celestial Blaze finished sixth at Doomben but drops from metro races to a much easier field, and he should be fitter for his recent runs. Seneschal won here earlier this preparation and was fifth last start. Waku Waku also drops in class after racing at Randwick.

Amelioration won here on a soft track last start and has won twice this campaign. He has been improving and has a good draw. Old Faithful was fourth here last start, has won twice this campaign and should improve. Empress Aspen finished well for fifth here last time.

King Emperor won his maiden at Ipswich and has trialled since, so he should be fit. He draws barrier 3. Silent Answer won here last start and has a good draw, so he is the main danger. Caishen is the narrow favourite and has placed at every start this preparation. Very little separates the top three.
