The reasoning
Los Angeles have gone from the playoffs to 0-4. Their offensive line is injured, and the defence is giving up 26.5 points a game. That is why they are underdogs at home. But Justin Herbert can still win a game with his passing.
Denver reached the conference final last season, and Bo Nix has them winning. Their problem is slow starts, which makes it hard for them to pull away from teams. They did beat the Chargers 19-3 in January, but Los Angeles won the three meetings before that.
Most projections have the Broncos winning by one or two points. That points to the Chargers covering the line.
Main danger: If the Chargers’ offensive line cannot protect Herbert, this could go Denver’s way easily. A fifth straight loss is possible.
