Golden Horizon ($8.50) strips fitter second-up and has a strong record at this stage of preparation. 1. Yamashita’s Gold ($13.00) gets conditions to suit and should be finishing hard, while 4. Captain Happy ($13.00) can improve despite the awkward barrier.

Icelady ($9.00) looks suited rising in trip after a strong second-up effort, while debutant 12. Marbles ($6.50) has trialled well and draws to get every chance.

Brown Nose Day Gal ($26.00) could give a sight if left alone in front.

Cushioned ($4.60) drops back from much tougher company and can improve, while 11. Angling Angel ($4.40) shapes as though the longer trip will suit.

Deakin ($9.00) resumes in easier grade and is worth keeping safe.

Bossy Nic ($5.00) has been solid in both runs this prep and should be nearing peak fitness. 4. Lingani ($23.00) becomes a knockout hope if conditions worsen, while 13. Naifah ($4.20) has upside second-up after a strong return effort.

Rey Magnerio ($7.00) brings elite sprint form into the race and should be charging late.
