Rockhampton racing tips for Friday June 5 feature an eight-race card on a Good 4 track, with several strong local form lines and some handy value across the program. The open handicaps in Races 3 and 4 look especially competitive, while a few short-priced runners later in the day look hard to beat.

Charming Seahorse looks ready to improve after placing as favourite on debut at Mackay. That race experience should count for plenty in a field with several unknowns, and she comes from a stable that must be respected with young runners.

Ten Carat Lucy went close as favourite at Rockhampton last start and gets another strong chance here. The Clinton Taylor yard must always be respected at this track, and she looks well suited in a BM58 with the right run.
