Race 1 – Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1100m)

Selection: Sambuca Sky (#3)

Sambuca Sky was dominant when breaking through at Scone, putting a big margin on her rivals after leading throughout. The step into metropolitan grade is the obvious test, but she maps well from a good draw and looks capable of taking the next step.

Pin Up Sheila was impressive on debut and rates as the main danger, while Bonvoy and Posh Pommery bring strong stable profiles and market appeal.

Race 2 – Asahi Super Dry Handicap (1100m)

Selection: Spain (#10)

This is a race packed with first starters, but Spain appeals from the powerful Waterhouse and Bott stable. Early trial reports have been positive and the inside draw should allow a soft run.

Omolong has won a recent trial for Chris Waller and commands respect, while Dubious Express brings race experience after a strong debut placing at Newcastle.

Race 3 – Drinkwise Plate (1100m)

Selection: Zoufame (#15)
Odds: $4.00 (odds subject to change)

Zoufame has placed in both career starts and returns from a spell after a strong trial campaign. The filly has shown plenty of ability and looks suited fresh over this distance.

Radicals was narrowly beaten on debut at Hawkesbury and should improve sharply second-up, while Farfetched has impressed in recent trials and is another genuine winning chance.

Race 4 – Exceedance @ Vinery Stud Handicap (1600m)

Selection: Concordia Wind (#11)
Odds: $8.00 (odds subject to change)

Concordia Wind has been racing consistently in stronger company and was only narrowly denied at Kensington last start. The rise to 1600m looks ideal and the current price offers value.

Tanglewood Jimmy is flying this preparation after a strong Newcastle win, while Monkhana continues to hold his own at metro level.

Race 5 – Catanach’s Jewellers Handicap (1300m)

Selection: Deep Pleasure (#2)
Odds: $6.00 (odds subject to change)

Deep Pleasure comes through stronger races and should appreciate this setup. Her recent Kensington run was better than it appears on paper and she looks ready to peak third-up.

Mrs Maree is in excellent form after a Warwick Farm win, while Sister Daae gets every chance from the inside draw and continues to improve.

Race 6 – Irresistible Pools And Spas Handicap (1300m)

Selection: Airworthy (#13)
Odds: $4.40 (odds subject to change)

Airworthy has already produced competitive performances in metropolitan company this preparation and drops into a race that looks very suitable. The soft track holds no fears and he gets his chance to return to winning form.

The Replicant should improve sharply second-up for Joseph Pride, while Swift Legend and Banknote Hustler both have upside.

Race 7 – TAB Handicap (1100m)

Selection: Astronomix (#6)

Astronomix has never missed a placing and resumes after producing strong form during his first campaign. His trial work has been excellent and he looks capable of measuring up again.

Sunday Tycoon is chasing three straight wins and continues to improve, while Gambler and Indecisive are worth considering for wider exotics.
