Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday 13th June Best Bets

Rosehill racing tips for Saturday’s 10-race card feature a strong mix of short-priced chances, value runners and proven soft-track form. We’ve gone through the latest form to find our best bets and selections for Rosehill Gardens.

Rosehill Racing Tips

Race 1 – Kia Ora Bloodlines To Headlines Handicap (1400m)

Selection: Friendly Fire
Odds: $1.60

Friendly Fire looks the one to beat after breaking through at Randwick last start. He has made a strong start to his career and looks ready for the rise to 1400m. Gridlock has been consistent and maps well, but Friendly Fire brings the strongest winning form.

Race 2 – Midway Handicap (1200m)

Selection: Smashing Time
Odds: $2.50

Smashing Time led throughout for a strong win at Gosford and gets another suitable set-up here. He maps well from barrier four and should be able to roll forward again. Mother Goose and She Swings are dangers, but Smashing Time looks hard to get past.

Race 3 – TAB Highway Handicap (1400m)

Selection: Hammoon Sensation
Odds: $4.60

Hammoon Sensation draws perfectly in barrier one and has been racing consistently this preparation. The return to 1400m looks suitable and he should get every chance close to the speed. Bide Your Time has claims at odds, but Hammoon Sensation looks the safer betting option.

Race 4 – Ranvet Handicap (2000m)

Selection: Skycatcher
Odds: $4.60

Skycatcher comes off a strong Canterbury win and looks ready to handle the rise to 2000m. He is progressive, has tactical speed and should get every chance from barrier four. Nobler is flying with two wins in a row, but Skycatcher appeals at the better odds.

Race 5 – Petaluma Handicap (1400m)

Selection: Ertijaaj
Odds: $5.00

Ertijaaj has won her past two and clearly knows how to find the line. She has already won at Rosehill and is building a strong record this campaign. The draw is a slight concern, but her current form is too good to ignore.

Race 6 – RJ Partner Award Handicap (1100m)

Selection: Candlewick
Odds: $7.00

Candlewick resumes here and has the fresh record to run a big race first-up. Her recent trial was encouraging and she should be able to finish strongly if she finds cover from the wide draw. At the current odds, she looks a genuine value chance.

Race 7 – Racing And Sports Handicap (1300m)

Selection: Lightning Glory
Odds: $6.00

Lightning Glory is chasing four wins in a row and continues to raise the bar. He should roll forward and put himself in the race early, which is a big advantage around Rosehill. Applaud and Hezdarnhottoo have claims, but Lightning Glory brings winning form and value.

Race 8 – The Queen Elizabeth II Cup (2400m)

Selection: Thebudgiesmugla
Odds: $2.60

Thebudgiesmugla looks very hard to beat back up to 2400m. He has an outstanding record at the trip and is proven at Rosehill. Portland and Black Run are genuine threats, but Thebudgiesmugla looks the standout stayer in the race.

Race 9 – Shift4 Sydney Sweep Handicap (1300m)

Selection: Swiftie Harriet
Odds: $6.00

Swiftie Harriet brings strong interstate form and looks well placed back to this grade. The 1300m suits and she has been racing in stronger company than most of these. Dupli Kate and La Basilique are in the mix, but Swiftie Harriet looks the best value.

Race 10 – Bisley Workwear Handicap (1500m)

Selection: Mawjood
Odds: $4.50

Mawjood was strong winning at Rosehill last start and returns to a very similar race. The wide draw is the query, but he has the tactical speed to overcome it and has excellent track form. Seven’s and Fiddlers Green are dangers, but Mawjood is the one to beat.

Best Bet

Race 8 – Thebudgiesmugla ($2.60)

He is proven at Rosehill, unbeaten at the 2400m trip and looks to have found the right race to produce another strong staying performance.

Good luck if you’re having a bet at Rosehill today.
