Harmonett looks a value chance from the inside draw after narrowly missing at Mornington last start. She maps to get a soft run just behind the speed and has enough local form to be competitive. If she handles the heavy ground, she can be right in the finish.

Race 4 – Russell V Cleland Handicap (1000m)

Wazing resumes off encouraging trial form and looks well placed in a small but tricky sprint. He has shown enough fresh ability to be competitive and should be forward enough for this. The wide draw is the query, but his best form gives him strong claims.

Stage ‘N’ Screen resumes off strong trial form and looks ready to fire fresh. She has always shown ability and should be suited over 1200m if she handles the wet ground. At the current odds, she appeals as one of the better betting tips on the card.
