This looks a race between the two short-priced runners. King’s Anchor has been around the mark this prep and looks suited staying at 2100m, while Bull Run maps well and should be fitter after another placing last start. Barossa Valley is the danger if the blinkers-off gear change sparks improvement.

Russian Duchess resumes off a trial win and looks ready to run well fresh. Sea Trader brings the strongest recent winning form after charging home at Werribee, while Audio Pop Cam also comes here off a trial win and has claims. This is competitive, but Russian Duchess looks the right each-way type at the price.

Race 3 – Porter Plant Maiden Plate (1200m)
Thinkyahot is the clear horse to beat after another narrow defeat last start. He has been consistent, keeps finding the line and gets another chance to break through. Alphabet looks the main danger back on the synthetic, while Lift Net can improve fresh.

Ultra Blue led throughout to win at Sandown and now drops into a suitable race from the inside draw. Lethal Thoughts can bounce back after a freshen-up, while Comic Hero has been very consistent this prep and should be in the finish again. Ultra Blue looks hard to catch if he controls the speed.

All The Moves backs up quickly after placing first-up at this track and should be fitter for it. Tubbs Legacy is a debutant from the Matthew Cumani yard and must be respected if the market supports him. Just Curious and Elegant Force both have enough exposed form to be around the placings.

Race 6 – Hygain Edge BM66 Handicap (1400m)
Miss Mahjong has strong Ballarat Synthetic form and looks well placed back to this level. Tan Tat Delight comes through stronger company and should be running on late, while Tempranillo resumes off a Caulfield Heath win and draws to get every chance. Miss Mahjong looks a good value play.

Sunsets drops back from metro grade and looks suited over 2100m. Soldier Boi also comes back in class and has the ability to improve sharply, while Kawa arrives off a strong Werribee win and should handle the rise in trip. Sunsets looks the value if he brings his best form.
