Race 1 – The Wayne Wilson (1600m)

Selection: Yellow Jersey
Odds: $2.25

Yellow Jersey resumes for a new stable after showing quality overseas, including a Group 2 placing over further. He has trialled well in Queensland and looks well placed if ready to fire fresh. Victoria Road and Warby have claims, but Yellow Jersey brings the clear class edge.

Race 2 – Ticketmaster Oxlade Stakes (1200m)

Selection: Pearl Of Dubai
Odds: $13.00

Pearl Of Dubai has been consistent early in her career and comes here with three placings from four runs this campaign. The recent trial should help keep her sharp and she looks capable of improving on wet ground. Palmanova is a big price with claims, but Pearl Of Dubai appeals as the better betting value.

Race 3 – XXXX Brisbane Cup (3200m)

Selection: Bella Montagna
Odds: $2.30

Bella Montagna looks ready to peak fourth-up and gets a perfect draw for the two-mile test. She meets Alalcance better at the weights and has been building nicely this campaign. On a Heavy 8, her fitness and staying profile make her the horse to beat.

Race 4 – Sky Racing Gunsynd Classic (1600m)

Selection: Within The Law
Odds: $2.35

Within The Law was strong late first-up at Eagle Farm and looks suited rising to the mile. She comes from a sharp stable and should be fitter for that fresh run. Skyhook is the obvious danger on speed, but Within The Law looks the stronger late chance.

Race 5 – Seven Hinkler Handicap (1200m)

Selection: Barber
Odds: $8.00

Barber should take good improvement from his fresh run at Doomben and has a strong second-up profile. He was not beaten far there and looks better suited with that run under the belt. Fire Star and Midnight In Tokyo have claims, but Barber looks a solid each-way play.

Race 6 – Magic Millions Dane Ripper Stakes (1300m)

Selection: She’s Got Pizzazz
Odds: $5.00

She’s Got Pizzazz has been racing in terrific form and only just missed at Eagle Farm last start. She handles different conditions and should be strong again at 1300m. Niance and Gerringong are winning chances, but She’s Got Pizzazz brings the best recent form.

Race 7 – Trackside NZ J.J. Atkins (1600m)

Selection: Berzelius
Odds: $5.50

Berzelius was strong winning at Eagle Farm last start and looks ready for the 1600m. He maps well from barrier five and should be able to settle closer in a race that may lack pressure. Voynichese and Cormier have upside, but Berzelius has the right form for this Group 1.

Race 8 – Ladbrokes Stradbroke Handicap (1400m)

Selection: Fangirl
Odds: $7.00

Fangirl was excellent when narrowly beaten at Eagle Farm last start and brings proven Group 1 quality to the Stradbroke. The handicap conditions are not easy, but her class and finishing power make her a major player. Headley Grange and Private Eye are serious threats, but Fangirl is the top pick.

Race 9 – HKJC World Pool Q22 (2200m)

Selection: Militarize
Odds: $5.50

Militarize was narrowly beaten at Eagle Farm last start and looks ready to run well again. He has been competitive throughout the campaign and maps nicely from barrier two. She’s A Hustler and Royal Supremacy are in the mix, but Militarize looks the safest betting option.

Race 3 – Bella Montagna ($2.30)

She looks perfectly set up for the Brisbane Cup, draws well, handles the conditions and should be ready to peak over the 3200m.
